The Sensitive.
Behind eyes are too many monsters
trying to hide - I can see them
through eyes wide open, trusting
me to look and only see
dilated pupils reflecting me.
The monsters are prowling I see them
all; trembling, fearful, ready to tear
up anyone showing they know they are there.
So if I don’t look then I can’t see
your monsters calling to the monsters in me.
poem for April day four - prompt being - For today's prompt, pick a type of person and write a poem about him or her. To help set the scene, you may want to title your poem as who the type of person is. For instance, you could write a poem titled "Firefighter," "Cynic," "Optimist," "Teacher," "2-year-old," etc. The list is endless.
