Day's Eyes by Michele Brenton is published in the Blue edition of the Alternative Poetry Book

This is sadly another one of the poems I wrote which then came true.
That has happened too often for me to be comfortable.
I wrote this shortly before my father developed symptoms which were then diagnosed as cancer.
He died less than a year later. :(
